About Kurly Kürtősh Café

A kürtősh/chimney cake (known as kürtőskalács in Hungarian) is a sweet pastry with a crispy, flavored outside and a soft, fluffy inside. We offer them as a traditional kürtősh and filled with ice cream, but our specialty is baking kürtősh on-site at private events.

What makes our process unique is that we learned & experienced the craftsmanship firsthand while living & immersing ourselves in the kürtősh culture in Budapest, Hungary.

Before you go

  • Ask about allergens when you order: US food law names nine major allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame), and kitchens can tell you which dishes contain them.
  • Restaurant inspection results are kept by the city or county health department; many publish them online or post the latest grade at the door.
  • For table service a tip of 15–20% is customary; at counter-service places tipping is optional.

Amazing! The owner is so nice, she explains to every person who is a first timer the process. Everything is fresh, plenty of seating. A nice variety of ice cream and the kurly ones with a special sweet chocolate at the end. It was so flavorful, not too sweet and it was still warm. A must if you want to try something different! And the drink was so refreshing with real strawberries 🍓 😋

I love their product -- icecream comes have never tasted better. The service is always top notch as well-- the girls walk you through the process and do a great job at making you feel welcomed. I have brought a few different people here and will continue recommending this spot. They have their own parking lot for added convenience.

This is such a fun, unique dessert spot 🍦✨ If you’re into specialty cones and creative ice cream setups, this place is definitely worth checking out. The location is a bit tucked away, but it adds to that hidden gem feel once you find it 📍 The staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful, and happy to walk through the different options 👍 I went with one of the smaller versions, so my cone wasn’t made fresh right in front of me. I do think that impacted the experience a bit. I have a feeling it would’ve been even better if I got a freshly made cone, since that seems like a big part of what makes this place special. That said, the ice cream itself was really good. Creamy, flavorful, and still a solid treat overall 😋 Next time, I’d definitely go for the fresh cone to get the full experience, but still a cute spot and worth trying if you’re in the area.

Hungarian delicacy. We had the pastel da nata ice cream with dulce leche and raspberry drizzle on top on the Kurly Kürtósh with cinnamon. Very delicious! Oh yes and a chocolate Lindor ball at the bottom. You get a one free coupon after posting your Kurly Kürtósh on IG. Great customer service as well. Plenty of space inside to sit and enjoy.
